Heritage – The Cavalhada in Brumal

The story of a friendship is preserved through the making of a traditional folk festival, the Cavalhada of Santo Amaro, which has been held for 80 years in Brumal, a district of Santa Bárbara/MG. It all began in 1937 with the muleteers Jorge Calunga and Amaro Antônio, and today, their descendants keep the inherited tradition alive.
